Juvenile Pied Shag

Came across this nest, I was really surprised how much noise it made, like a screaming baby wanting milk from mum!

Fires are still not out, and my eyes are stinging Very hazy with all the smoke particles in the air, but I'm no longer seeing plumes of smoke like I did on Thursday.

We need rain desperately.  Lots of it.
