Fascinatingly ouch!

This is a photo the radiographer let me take after a minor procedure this afternoon.
It's also something of a miracle that I was able to look at it - those who've followed for a while will know how much I hate needles. (To be honest I had to sit with my head between my knees for quite a while afterwards).
To be fair, it hurt. A lot. But it was fascinating to watch. The first time. By number three I have to say I just wanted it over.
The bad news is that that gap between the bones should be 1cm wide, mine is (after 25 years of climbing hard rock) 3mm - so whilst the horrid horrid needles might offer some temporary relief i suspect the knife (or more realistically grinder) beckons.
Still even Ferraris need servicing, lol.
