Sad Day

Blip image is of a frost covered tent peg in our garden, taken just as the sun was peeping over the hedge and catching the crystals. I liked the long thin fingers of frost sticking up.

I took our eldest dog Katie to the vet today for an ultrasound scan and x-ray to investigate possible causes of her recent rapid weight loss. The results have shown that she has some damage on her lungs - which the vet thinks are probably secondary tumours. The likely primary tumour is in the liver, although to confirm this they would have to do a biopsy and even then treatment options would be pretty limited.

Given that she is happy and active and that she is a good age (13) we are going to just going to let it run its course. Extra food is in the pipeline to try and keep her weight up, which I am sure she will enjoy
