just sayin'

Since day one in the swamp (Nippon), I have been impressed with the staying power of this old stand-by way of communicating while on the fly. You can find one of these chalkboard get ups in any (all?) train station in the country. They are stationed near the exits or major traffic flows, and anyone can leave a message for anyone on it (where to meet, late, etc.). A bit of old school that hangs on in the age of ubiquitous mobile tethering (that I am fighting in my own non-luddite way). Score one for the old school.

Just sayin'.
