The scenic route...

...across the Pennines to visit friends in Preston, where I used to work. Came via Holmfirth, past Black Hill and Saddleworth  Moor, and this is near Dovestones Reservoir. Still lots of snow about on the Yorkshire side, but it was more like spring once we reached Lancashire!
Had a little nosey round Clitheroe and Longridge on the way - our old stamping grounds - both have grown a lot since we moved away.
