Heskin Hall

Don't you just have to get out on a day like today..........!

We had decided to explore Heskin Hall which is in Chorley. It also boasts a Farmers Market, Antiques, Tea Rooms and bespoke boutique stalls.

We paid £1 each to look around the old Grade 1 listed Tudor Manor House, which was originally built in 1545......it's full of old antiques and furniture, lots of bric a brac, all available at a price, via rolling auction, if anything takes your fancy!
The house was last occupied in the late 60s.......and apparently it has several ghosts ! We also had a mooch around the gardens, saw, plenty of birds and squirrels!

We had a lovely ploughmans for lunch, in the very nice Two Birds Tea Room. We treated ourselves to some steak for dinner, plus a lovely looking shoulder of lamb, and some chicken breasts in a lemon sauce from the onsite butchers.

We had a short walk after lunch in the surrounding area, which is very picturesque..........somewhere we will be going back to, maybe when the weather is a little warmer though :-)

Overall, a very enjoyable few hours :-D
