Day 33 - The Weather is Breaking

I'm pleased that last nights exploits XC skiing by floodlight didn't beat me up too much. So of course that meant I headed up the mountain again today. I can't believe how lucky I am to be doing so much skiing. My friend says skiing is endlessly fascinating, the snow changes constantly, you try to find the most interesting lines to ski, it's physiacally challenging, it's dangerous. It also repays you with feelings I can't describe that other sports can't get close to. And I get to practice this sport in the most beautiful environment, for 33 days this season and counting. Every day skiing is a good day.

I took this picture to contrast with yesterday's shot from high up on a ridge. Hundreds of people pass by this spot everyday, one of the busiest chairlifts on the mountain is right behind me, but I was the only one taking in the view. C'mon people, look around and enjoy the view.
