Sparkly morning.
Most of the snow has gone but this morning saw a lovely, sparkly frost and delightful morning light as we walked from our village across the edge of Catstones Moor towards Cullingworth.
We doubled back through these wooded fields above the Goit Stock valley. I have chosen this shot despite the sunspot as I think it's the one that best shows the frosted grass.
Unfortunately the frost wasn't enough to harden up some of the very boggy ground and one of our number (our newest recruit) lost her boot in the mud. One of the others helped her retrieve it and she had to put it back on (with the help of a dog poo bag as a liner!) to complete the walk.
One of the hazards of winter walking!
