Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red

On Wednesday, my ceramic  poppy from the Towerof London art installation, which we visited last October, finally arrived.  Click on the link to see my blip of  the astonishing sight of the Tower's moat filled with  these poppies. 
 I love that the stalk is rusted and that the petals have a little dried mud on them, identifying it as one of those thousands of poppies which took our breath away last year.  The backdrop of my photo is the interior of the box in which it arrived, a view of the Tower taken from very much the same place that I stood to take my blip.
