Not St Patrick's Day

Today the only photographs I took were of previously blipped subjects. This morning on my run, it was the Sky Tower from Western Park not long after 0640 am. It was still darkish when I got back as I had a short run due to having to travel out west to do an assessment.

This evening Young L arrived telling Grandpa with great excitement to look at the sunset. I was a little busy and was almost inclined to look quickly and say something innocuous. His enthusiasm was infectious, however, and as the red sun was in the process of dropping below the horizon, I got the Pentax and took a couple of quick shots. All the while watched intently by Young L.

Sensing his barely contained excitement, I offered him the camera, keeping a firm hand underneath to support its weight. He framed it up and with some encouragement to keep squeezing until it clicked, he took a not bad picture. My photos of the sunset tempted me, and it was the vote of S which decided that this shot of the Sky Tower would be the blip.

Quick Update on the Quill pen: Mr H was excitedly waiting for me to get home from work so that I would give him the pen I got on Sunday. He interrupted his drawing of a dragon (excellent work) to get it. He was very pleased with it. Satisfaction all around.
