Anything for a Quiet Life

Memories

My new toy arrived today - a negative scanner!

I bought it so I can spend many days hours scanning my parents' thousands of negatives and slides.  In the interest of testing it out, I spent this evening scanning a box full of my own negatives, looking out for photos of my parents but so far they're few and far between - lots more to go though.

However, this picture is one of my favourites of my old dog, Kim, who sadly suffered from liver failure and left us at the age of 8, back in 1995.  He absolutely loved being out in the snow, chasing snowballs, burrowing his face into it like I imagine a mole would.  And then when he'd had enough, he loved to be plunged into a warm sink of water to melt the snowballs off of his fur.  The photo may not be perfect and is in need of some editing but it sums up his character perfectly.
