Winter Sky near Beverungen

“Come on,” said W. as we sat at the window, after the heavy sewercleaner truck had left us back in quite an unexpected kind of reality: perhaps a broken drain pipe further down the stony slope, we call “our bushy birdy free haven”. We never enter there, because of its steepness. Well, we’ll see tomorrow whats next.

“Come on”, she repeated, “lets go somewhere outside in the cold...No use to throw our creativity down the drain too, I thought and so we went on a short tour to Westphalia, to consult a car-dealer and look for the afternoon view into the nearby river landscape. You see the snowy fields in the distance. A forefront of fine lined trees. And a painterly sky full of colorful brushstrokes. Amazing…

Later, at our round diner table I felt enormously releaved, broke out in full laughter. The rapid developments of today had shifteded our focus from drying up an inhouse waterballet into fitting an old shitty downhill drain stoppage. Sometimes you have to admit there is no alternative to surrender and face the thing. Worrying being utterly meaningless, feel liberated to face your destiny. Love the multicolored skies. Thanks to my brave companion W. who is so wise as not to act out the old worrier, but to invite us into simple exercises in creative warriorship: look into that fine design inside a frozen waterdrop. Or paint your sky in full colour.
