Sometimes Life Sucks!

The Blip photo is of a babies dummy that's been lost on a footpath. It sort of summed up the day.

My mate Kel phoned early this morning to say he was ill with flu' and their cat had to be 'put down'. His wife, Mandy, was upset and we wouldn't be able to go around tonight for a meal, as planned. Shit.

On picking up the son's dogs, we were met with his girlfriend's step-mother who 'accidentally on purpose' let slip that the son and his girlfriend were no longer together, and hadn't been for about two months. They'd been together five years. He did mention he was buying a house but not this! The dogs are technically his girlfriends. We love those dogs. It'll be awkward now to take them out. Shit.

We drove to Symonds Yat to do our favourite dog walk. Just before we arrived, a pheasant dive bombed over a hedge and hit the windscreen of my car. The car was ok but, poor pheasant. Shit.

During the six mile walk, it was only semi enjoyable thinking that it may be the last time we get to take the little rascals out. It rained all the way around despite the forecast being dry. It was a sad feeling. It felt like the feeling I had sorting out my desk in my last day in work, knowing I was never going back. Shit.

Near the end of the walk, on the wet dirty footpath I saw the dummy. Basically an item that is now discarded, lost, and not fit for purpose. It sort of summed up the day, really. Sometimes Life Sucks!
