An Old Airman's Life

Traveling art

Up and at it early this morning.  Probably a good thing.  After fixing myself a healthy breakfast, I took up my camera and began shooting the decorated train cars that pass my window.  Not sure if it is really art, but someone put some effort into the painting.

While I was shooting, I heard the first chirp of the battery low sound on our hallway smoke alarm.  This was followed by my dog running and attaching  himself to my side.  Then a second smoke alarm began to chirp over our heads.  We have very high ceilings and my three step ladder was not up to the task.  I had to go and borrow a real ladder from the building maintenance.  It is difficult enough to climb a ladder but with a 70 pound arthritic dog wanting to join you, it can be murder.

Anyway, my day has settled down and here is the  best pic.  The alarms are quite.  Beemer is sleeping again.
