The new and not so new

My grandson's grandmother was visiting from New Zealand so there was a family reunion as you would expect. Although New Zealand is "just across the ditch" as they say, it's not everyday that a  visitation can occur.
February is traditionally the hottest summer month for us but the weather has been so unusual that there was a need to light the wood fire to keep our New Zealand guest warm. I have to say this is the first time I can remember requiring a fire in the middle of summer.
