Harbour view

The view is from the top of the Port Hills looking over Lyttelton Harbour. For those of you who are not from these parts, you can see the road we travel on a regular basis in the foreground. Nice and steep with lots of bends. Great when you are feeling unwell! Good news on that front today as I have felt ok most of the day and have not vomited. Not sure what the difference is, but I'm happy with it :-)

Had to go to town to pick up the treatment pills and to have a CT scan. The scan is to see how the treatment is progressing and to see if there is anything that could be causing my nausea and vomiting. It all went pretty smoothly. CT scan's are a lot more pleasant than MRI's in my experience. Unfortunately, we are now only getting one of the treatment pills as there is an international shortage of the less important pill. These pills are very new and have had limited research, but were so successful, that both have been licensed for use in USA, UK and Australia. The drug company was not expecting this, so now is on the back foot with producing enough to keep up with demand. As NZ has not yet licensed either of these, I get them under a Compassionate Access Scheme where the drug company gives them to my consultant to use with his patients for free. So I've a feeling we are at the bottom of the list when they run out....
