Landscaping in the village

The entrance to our village is undergoing a much needed renovation.

Today I noticed that the cobbler in Ganges has closed shop. I don't know why. That is sad, he is such a nice guy, and he was the only cobbler on the island. Our island is a wonderful place to live, but it is an irony that we are swamped with art galleries and yoga studios, while sometimes the necessities of everyday life are not available.
