bridge to a pier
another sleepless night. a great time for a blip. i head out the door and drive to our local mill town. the roads are deserted except for vehicles with buckets or plows attached. the temperature reads -10 F on my dash. what am i thinking?
i get to the river. sea smoke rises over the bridge, covers the base of the mill, engulfs the pier where the tankers moor. towering snowbanks make getting to the water's edge a challenge. it is not a night for a tripod, nor a composed shot. it is a night to crank up the ISO, step into the frigid air and see what you can get.
