Semaphore for Scouts

As part of an evening on communication, we thought we'd have a go at semaphore. Sadly none of the scouts had a scooby as to what semaphore was -the best explanation given was that it was the way of directing planes on the tarmac....ho hum!
The flags were home made using an old shirt and a couple of garden sticks.
