Steel and sky

At long last construction is under way for our new run of industrial units. It is amazing how fast they are getting the basic steel frame up. There are just two men working,  and in two days they have done this. We are hoping that the first new tennants will be ready to move in the begining of April. Fingers crossed. This will be a run of four and a half units . We already have three let so we just need to find one more!

Hoorah!! I have finished the VAT and the essential monthly bills too. No desk work for me tomorrow!

Farming  -  Two on compost hauling and one on tanking too. The Mr Tbays were at a course on costing machinery all day. They both felt it was well worth it. It would allow us to cost our machines running cost far more acurately and also allow us to price jobs much better too.  Both of which would potentially make the business more efficient and therefore should be more profitable. Sounds good if it works!

I spent a pleasant evening judging the County round of Junior Reading Competition for Somerset Young Farmers. I now have the task of training the winning team as they go forward to represent Somerset in the South West Area round in a few weeks time. What fun we will have!
