World cancer day

As today is world cancer day I thought I would write about my experiences....

In the last 11 years I have lost 2 friends to cancer, an aunt and 2 cousins. I seem to be surrounded by it even now, my uncle is having treatment for (stage 4) stomach, lung, lympnods and bladder cancer, my aunt has (stage 3) cancer of the bone, a good friends brother has (stage 3) cancer of the blood.

When everything else seems to be going wrong I'm thankful of the grueling treatment in some ways. Thanks to the wonders of the NHS and research I have my boyfriend, 2 of my aunts and my gorgeous little cousin Lilly... Lilly absolutely smashed neuroblastoma last year after battling for her little life since she was 8 months old. Lils smashed it and I'm sure the rest of my brave family will!
