Garn Lakes Local Nature Reserve

As I was free to do want I wanted this morning with no school runs to carry out, I drove to the Garn Lakes, Garn-yr-erw, Blaenavon. 

We've got no snow in Abersychan but just 6 miles to the north at this local nature reserve you can still see some on the mountains and its 1deg C very cold! 

After a very invigorating walk, feeling fresh and energized I went home and made a very heart-warming leek and potato soup for lunch. 

I might go back tomorrow with my 70-300 mm zoom lens, which I did't have today, and see if I can capture some bird blips.
