I posted a rather tongue in cheek blip yesterday lambasting today's drivers for their inability to cope with a bit of snow on the roads, not that we really see much of it these days. Today, by way of contrast, we have a composite of Wellington Street Luton 2015 and in the 1950s. when we had real snow.

Valentines meal booked. I haven't told Diana. It's a surprise. She's not going :-)

Only joking, who else would I take?

I had to admire one restaurant chain. They have decided that it is a rip off to offer a set menu at inflated prices on Valentines day. Instead, they will be offering their normal menu plus a few carefully chosen specials; all at standard prices. I take my hat off to them - only issue is they are fully booked. Their strategy appears to have paid dividends.
