Spoor of the Bookworm

By Bookworm1962

Unable to sleep a few nights ago I was treated to the sight of snow dropping out of the darkened 5am sky and settling on the street. By the time what could officially be described as morning came around it had all melted away into a wet gloss on the Tarmac and pavement. In the whole street only I'd seen the snow. On the way home from our friends in the first hour of Sunday we found we were driving through yet more snow, white flakes rushing at us through the windscreen, glimmering in the headlights, then gone. Today we missed the fall, asleep for once, but it had finally decided to stay and thinly carpet the world.
