Dad with his dog, way back when.

Our dad died shortly before 2am this morning, in Belfast City Hospital . 

This is him with Peggy the Airedale Terrier, on a Belfast street some time in the 1930s. The two were, by all accounts, inseparable. 

After Peggy died he was so upset that he would never own another dog.
