Winter white

There was talk of snow for today, but we didn't really believe it. Not until we opened the curtains this morning, that is. The world had turned winter white overnight, and it looked beautiful.

I feel as though the snow followed us back from our drive trip, having experienced a white landscape for much of the way over the Pyrenees and across the Massif Central.

Tonight the snow has gone, but the forecast is for more to come at the end of the week. I'm rather glad to have no more trips in the diary for the week ahead.
