Canal and surroundings in winter plumage

I can't remember a winter in Inverness as consistently cold as this one. Despite that - snow falls, snow ices up, snow melts, snow falls again in a cycle repeated every three days. And so it goes on. Now I am mainly wearing thermal john johns composed entirely of merino wool. No more shin freezing chilblains for me!
