Cars......as far as the eye can see!

This is the scene at our local Hospital......always hundreds of parked cars! The hospital, in Villajoyosa, is on the edge of the town....there is a bus service and a railway station....but most patients and their relatives arrive by car.
About a year ago, the town Council of Villajoyosa gave a large, flat field to the Hospital for Carparking. They then paved it and marked out all the parking spots. There was an official "Opening" with the Mayor and the Chief of the Local Police in attendance. The Mayor announced that the Parking was to help everyone, whether they lived in Villajoyosa, or not.....patients can live in any of the neighbouring towns of Benidorm, Alfaz del Pi, Altea, La Nucia or Polop.
Every time I go to the Hospital, and like this morning, I had to search for a parking spot for a few minutes.....I mentally give thanks for the generosity of the Town Council of Villajoyosa!
And....I wish to add....the Carparking is free to all users.
Users of NHS Hospital car parks in the UK might be envious!
