Old And New

It's been a tragic day in my local area. We knew something serious had occurred when three ambulances went by with sirens blazing. When three Fire Engines followed quickly behind I felt quite a bit apprehensive! When two more Fire Engines and two police cars zipped by and we could hear more sirens in the distance we really started to worry and started searching online for any news!

With all the storms over the last week the power in the area has been going on and off quite a bit. But the shopping centre across the road has been having a lot of problems with their power and this morning four contracted electricians were working on one of the main transformers for one section of the centre when it exploded!!

Two of them are now dead and the other two have serious burns to most of their bodies! Some of the bystanders who rushed in to help the men were also injured and hearing their stories is just heartbreaking! My sympathies are with the families of those who died and those who were injured, a very sad day!

It was raining at the walk time this morning and so we didn't get out. It was raining at the walk time tonight after work so we didn't get out then either! I found these two liquid amber seed pods yesterday together on the ground, one old and one new, they made a quiet blip.
