End of a snowy day

From the parking lot at work as I was leaving to go home : the clouds had a slight pinkish haze and just above them was a very small and soon gone patch of blue. 6-8 inches of snow fell overnight and it flurried on and off all day. Needless to say only the very hardy (or foolhardy) made it to the office today as the roads were not very good due to the blowing snow. We have become somewhat spoiled over the last 30 years or so as the winters have not been what they once were. We've all forgotten how to drive in snow .I hope my eldest gets home soon as she should have gotten out of work 30 minutes ago and I am getting a bit anxious. But she is the best driver of the 3 , having honed her skills in Rochester's nastier winters during college.
