Last day
Well, last full day anyway... For this trip at least. We fly home tomorrow with not much time to do anything except grab coffee in the morning. We had a pretty cool last day though. We headed down to let them have a look in the shops round KaDeWe before going on to the Bauhaus Archiv. It had all changed around since the last time we were there with the big room being devoted to Laszlo Moholy-Nagy and the smaller room being dedicated to the history of the Bauhaus. The students really enjoyed it as always.
After that we headed down to Martin Gropius Bau, which we had never been to before for an exhibition on VKhUTEMAS which was really amazing and fitted in so well after seeing Bauhaus. It was mainly architecture related stuff as so little of teh work from teh school survived the Stalin era, but they were so far ahead of their time that 85 - 95 years on modern architecture only just seems to be catching up with much of it.
After dinner Roz and I headed back to the Reichstag dome as Roz hadn't arrived when we went up it the other day. It was a great day to end another fantastic trip to Berlin.
Already looking forward to another one next year as are a great number of the first year students.
