Lichen

When we set out for our walk this morning the skies were all drama and fancy clouds, and the wind was blowing fiercely. I found - lying in our driveway - a piece of a small branch from a pine that had blown off and was covered with a particularly exuberant growth of lichens. I think might be rather better in color, but it's interesting in mono as well. Exuberance - that's a spirit, right?
