Hey Sugar!

Mr A and I love root beer; we drank loads of it while we were in the US and usually always have some in the fridge at home too.

For Christmas, my Mum bought him a 'brew your own root beer' kit and we've been waiting for a good time to make it ever since.

I planned ahead and saved some 1 litre bottles (he needed 4) and also bought the sugar he needed.
The kit says to make it in two batches (it makes a gallon in total), I guess to save ruining it all in one go.

I always knew it was sweet, but seeing all this sugar weighed out (all 452 grams of it) is pretty horrendous!

It's a waiting game now; it takes anywhere from 12 hours to 5 days to carbonise.
Hopefully it won't explode!
