it's a new dawn, it's a new day, it's a new life..
decided last night that i would get up early bird to watch bro depart Brinsley. Mum and Liv wanted to come too, so set alarm for 5am. it felt like i was going on hol, driving that early, interesting to see how many people up and about for work already.
well, as is always the case, we were there before bro and co arrived! when they did, we had a final look around his now empty home, so many great memories for him and the family, for all of us. i remember countless games of tennis or footy on the back lawn, and through the years, pete, greg and alex have all stropped off the lawn when they lost! i remember our dads 70th birthday party we had there, in the sun, the day after we had seen the Foo's at Wembley, that was a perfect weekend for us all. various parties over the years, christmas dinners (dad nearly dropping the turkey!), and the last fabulous egg on yer face party.....the isle of man won't know what's hit them when our gang get over there!
off they went, and how we wished we were with them. took liv to Mcdonalds for her breakfast, and all back home by 7am. then an hour or so later i did the school run.
into work and had a good day. starting to get warmer throughout the day, and a promise of 25 degrees tomorrow! constant updates by text from Li as they get on the ferry (prince asked her where the pool was!!!).
home, and a beautiful steak for dinner, washed down with a perfectly chilled glass of spring water. baked the friendship cake tonight, and am impressed! will have a tiny taste before i go to bed!
news from IOM, they all unpacked and were enjoying the spectacular views from Bro's new pad, before going out for food and then an early night. a new life for bro from today, love you loads xx
