Frieze
No work today so I went along to Frieze Art Fair in Regent's Park.
I spoke to Weef this morning who said the work inside the tents wasn't hugely inspiring, so when I saw the hoards of people piling in I just thought 'can't be arsed!'
There was even a queue to get press passes, so I decided not to bother, instead following the signs to the sculpture park, which was positively deserted by comparison.
This piece by Gary Hulme called 'Liberty grip' was one of the first of many entrancing pieces of work I found on the east side of the park. From a distance it looked like a simple tubular sculpture, but up close appeared to be made up of human limbs.
Beautiful day.
I went for an Indian vegetarian buffet for lunch at Diwana (the original Bel Poori house in Drummond Street), avoided Calumet (for once) and stopped off for a massage on the way home.
