London
What a fab day!
We don't very often go to London just for fun but today we made an exception. Started off in Leicester Square and bought tickets for a show this evening. Next wasThe Banqueting Hall - one of the old Palaces near Downing Street. An amazing ceiling painted by Ruben and the whole place is so full of history. Then walked down to the river and went on the Lindon Eye - haven't done that for a few years so that was fun. Then walked up to Horseguards Parade and through St James's Park to Buckingham Palace , then up through Green Park to Picadilly and called in to Fortnum and Mason - just cos we could :). Back down to Leicester Square for dinner then off to the theatre. We saw 'Taken at Midnight' starring Penelope Wilton at The Theatre Royal, Haymarket. Such a moving play superbly acted.
What a lovely day.
