Jupiter, Greatest and Best.
This is a composite of two shots, one exposed for the Galilean moons and the other for the planet itself. The cloud belts on the soc image were very faint and I have brought them out more with some serious processing in Photoshop, although there is nothing there that wasn't in the original RAW file data. I used my camera with a 500mm lens on a tripod and manual settings. Trial and error, lots of failed images and a chunk of my life I won't get back!
