February Colour
First day of February already and the weather has become bitingly cold. Well, by normal Irish standards anyway. That means the odd snow flurry, some snow lying on higher ground and daytime temperatures of 2 to 6C. Not a time when nature has much colour to display but today we drove to Dublin and dropped by the National Botanic Gardens where the colour was provided mainly by the orchids. These leaves however, caught my eye. I forgot to look see what the tree was though but it was growing inside in one of the large greenhouses.
