With a little help from my friends

Several times over the last year, I've got lucky when a bird happened to end up in just the right spot to add that certain something to a shot.

Well, today my feathered friends did me proud, and I got lucky with the sheep the sheep helped as well.

I can't believe the year is up already! Blip has been a great experience for me. It's made me dedicate time to my photography, and every day it's  given me a reason to take a break from what I've routinely been doing - usually work - and immerse myself in something that's absorbing, stimulating, and that I truly enjoy.

Most of all, though, it's the new friends I've connected with in the blip community that have made it so special. Every day I've been inspired by your photography, encouraged by your kind comments, educated by the fascinating facts many of you have shared, and often, when I've really needed it, been made to smile and even laugh out loud at your humour (in both words and pictures). Thank you!!

On with Year 2!!! :))

This picture was taken at West Wycombe, home to the notorious Hellfire Club in the 18th century. Maybe some hangover from their mystical practices explains the odd behaviour of the local sheep and birds... ;)
