Meat Market

T has the most beautiful aqua-blue eyes. This picture does not remotely do them justice!

Last night, I arrived a whole 2 hours later than planned to meet them- oopsie! It was partly my fault, as I was trying to maximise the time spent at home, but also the trains, as they are still doing weekend maintenance so it adds another 45 minutes to the journey!

I was a brave(!) girl and took the tube alone tonight! Pathetic, I know! But I usually just follow other people, and when you're chatting, you don't really pay much attention! I managed to get myself to Covent Garden, and I waited so long for the lift I could have walked the 15 floors up to the street quicker myself!

Once I met T, his mum and sister, we walked a little way to Meat Market. It wasn't exactly what I expected! I knew we were going out for burgers, and they were very good, but I didn't really like the place, and we over-ordered and ended up with a fifth burger for our party of four! We decided to do a nice thing, and gave it to a homeless man sitting in a doorway on a street as we were walking. He seemed quite pleased with our offering!

It was 10pm , and they had been out all day, so we decided to head back. We had tea and wine on the sofa at T's place, and watched a bit of a movie.

I had a nice day, but we were tired and were in bed by 12. We made plans to meet them at 10am today for breakfast. It took an hour to get from T's place back to Leicester Square, and it was so cold! I was frozen, and the wind made all of my eye-make up run! It said 4 degrees, but it felt like -1!We walked a lot, and then found our chosen place, Bunny Chow.

Apparently it's supposed to be the best place in London to get breakfast, but I disagree! To be fair, the food was good, but it was hard to eat, and all served inside a hollowed out loaf. Maybe I'm just getting old, as I seem to have missed the point and couldn't see exactly what the novelty part would be!

After breakfast we headed back. I took the tube to Waterloo, they went off to attack Harrods! It took me 2 hours from station to station, but I had a little nap to pass the time :-)

After I unpacked, Mum, R and I headed off to The Tablespoon in Sunningdale, for coffee and cake. Little B had a visit with his Auntie Shelle and Uncle Nick!

I've managed to give myself permission (just about) to have a night off from the gym. I feel guilty not going, and also feel that I might wish I had later. My therapist, A, rightly identified that because I feel I 'should' go, it's becoming a chore rather than something fun, and she's right.

I do love the gym, but it's ok to have a rest every now and then. And tonight I'm going to have a nice bath, and relax, ready for Monday :-)
