Through the Park Gate II
Out doing my errands this am & thought I would snap another of the Aylesbury Parks; Victoria Park. I got where I thought it was & found it surrounded by high metal fencing with a sign saying "Aylesbury Grammar School" playing field. No shot here so it was a quick visit to Alfred Rose Park then home. So this shot is looking into the park from the Vale Road gates.
Alfred Rose was a local political figure serving as Mayor on several occasions in the 1930s & 40s. He gave the land for the park which at that time was an area of pastureland called Crown Leys.
C busy preparing for tonight's roast meal when N & R are visiting for dinner.
Nice fresh morning with a cold wind.
