Waiting for the ferry

to Inchmahome Priory on the Lake of Menteith.

The sun was splitting the sky and I can think of no better place to be than Inchmahome Island.

Though fairly small the island is well worth a visit but make sure you go when the weather is good. Today the crossing was smooth, the loch tranquil and the island covered in an abundance of bluebells and wonderful sunny shadows.

It raised the spirits!
