Give me oil in my lamp
Happy February - The low sun through the kitchen window this morning caught the oil bottles.
People often ask why (as foodies who cook a lot) we have a halogen hob as opposed to a gas one, which offers you more control, etc … I normally reply, “Because I’m a slob and a halogen hob is soooo much easier to clean” but in future I will add, “I like the way the bottles reflect in it”.
Thanks for all the good wishes about my sinuses – I’m slightly better – but I’m trying to ignore them.
The Byrds
I have no religious beliefs but this reminds me of my childhood. We sang it (along with songs like ‘If I had a hammer’) on CND marches – starting including the first Aldermarston March in 1958
