The end of Vietnam
Into every life a little rain must fall.
For us this means the end of 33 degrees heat, the end of 9pence beer, the end of fresh noodle soup and shrimp pancakes, the end of smiling Vietnamese conversations, and most sadly the end of a brilliant family catch up.
We spent our last day seeing the Cu Chi tunnels, a fascinating network of underground tunnels running for 160km that the Viet Cong used during the war to evade US forces. It was quite an experience crawling through the tunnels and seeing the traps that had been created to defeat their enemies.
Back in the city we enjoyed a meal out in town and some good conversation before sadly heading to bed for a 5 am wake up and flight home…
* I found it incredibly difficult to choose which photo to upload for every day here - there was so much to see and do on each day! Any recommendations for websites where I can put up more than one photo a day? I tried flickr but don't seem to be able to sign up there without a yahoo account..?
