Track

A day through in Glasgow to see the Revolution track cycling event at Big Chris's Velodrome. Some well-known names on show - Jason Kenny, Lizzie Armitstead, Sarah Storey - and a crop of young talent as well. A whole programme including men's sprint, keirin, points race, longest lap, etc. Favourite moments were probably seeing the cat-and-mouse elements of the men's sprint close-up and then watching Lizzie Armitstead completely destroy the field in the women's points race over the course of 80 laps.

Tea out in Glasgow afterwards before a packed train home containing more than its fair share of beery/sweary football fans. Not particularly threatening behaviour in itself, but you really wouldn't want to make a habit of it. I think my girls might have learnt a few new words over the course of the journey.
