Glass Eye

This gorgeous 'glass eye' was a gift from a young lady from Seattle who I hosted for a couple of weeks in 2008. (The candle holder it's sitting in was also a Seattle gift). I have another similar 'Glass eye' which was a Christmas ornament gift from the same young friend.

Each is a beautiful work of art and remind me of a third one, currently at my parents house which in a former life was attached to a trawler's nets to let the skipper see where the crew had dropped them in the days before mechanisation. Once I dig it out, it will be added to my most precious objects as my family had a long history with the fishing industry.
