Smash palace.

This is one of a vast number of old , partially stripped down cars at Smash Palace which is a well known car parts yard in the wilderness of the central plateau. An acclaimed New Zealand film of the same name was largely filmed around this area. It is huge. There must be thousands of old cars stacked up in the fields allowing nature to repossess them with lichens and ferns establishing. As the paintwork breaks down and the rust spreads it makes for some fascinating colours and patterns on the car bodies.
