Last day of January

The days are already noticeably longer than last month, the sun bursts into the apartment at 9am and is slipping behind the mountains at 4:30pm. The cross-country tracks were in excellent condition as we set off in the late afternoon.
We found a variation through the forest on our route back home where the snow on the trees is still thick and not disturbed by the winds. There was a bit more up and down which made it more interesting too.
