on the wane

I can never remember to go to the town's farmers' market. I seem to have a blank spot. Today, the fog lifted. 

The market is about half the size it was the last time I went. Shame. I suspect 90% of the locals are happier with a microwave meal from M&S.

I got a piece of local cheese, some venison liver and some buffalo. Cue some time on Google to find out what to do with the latter two.

I had venison liver in Bavaria recently. It will have been wild, but what I've  bought will be farmed. We'll see.   

Right... chargrilled venison liver, caramelised red onions, some steamed kale, crostini and a glass of Gigondas...

Not available in the (ridiculously overpriced) chilled section at M&S.
