End of an era

Today the family gathered in Glasgow to watch the third Hobbit film, bringing to an end an era of watching the Peter Jackson movies based on the Tolkien books The Hobbit & Lord of the Rings. It's been a Boxing Day tradition, interspersed with various Harry Potters, for a long, long time. Boxing Day 2014 wasn't possible so today was the day. Not entirely sure how three films were made from the slim Hobbit original but we all just relaxed into it then went for something to eat. Lovely to spend time together.

My blip is taken from the moving train on the way home at the end of the afternoon. The snow's still lying in Lanarkshire and there was a bit of a sunset. It is still very chilly, but here we are at the end of January. Hooray!
